After a long wait, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is all set to gear up for its brand new Vivo S6 smartphone launch. Now, the company has officially confirmed to come with an oreo-shaped quad rear camera setup.
On Monday, Vivo released the new posters of the smartphone on the Chinese social media platform, named Weibo. Earlier, the company had also confirmed that the launch of the upcoming smartphone is going to take place on 31st March 2020 in China.
The latest poster that has been revealed by Vivo indicates that this newly launching phone will come in two different color options such as blue and pink gradient. This newly launched poster was highlighted by a popular Chinese actor Liu Haoran who is also said to be the ambassador for the Vivo S6 5G.
From the promotional poster, one can witness the Vivo S6 5G is going to sport a quadruple rear camera setup, which is going to be allied in a circular fashion. Right beneath the camera unit, there’s an LED flash. At the very bottom, you can see this Vivo 5G branding. Apart from this, the remaining back of the Vivo S6 5G is also left vacant, which leads us to expect that the device is going to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Coming to the rear camera setup, the Vivo S6 5G is going to feature a 48MP primary sensor. The device, on the other hand, has already been listed on the Chinese e-commerce website named Suning, where the 48MP camera has already been confirmed from the site.
The rear camera setup consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, as well as a third 2-megapixel sensor along with a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
Talking about its processor, we can also expect an upgrade since the smartphone is said to support the 5G connectivity. Earlier reports have suggested that the Vivo S6 5G can come with either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 SoC or else a Samsung’s Exynos SoC. Vivo Nex 3 5G, an additional flagship smartphone by Vivo that was launched the previous year, and comes with Snapdragon 855+ SoC.
In the meantime, the company has not revealed anything much regarding the front panel of the latest smartphone, therefore, it is still not clear whether a hole-punch camera or a pop-up selfie camera setup is going to be observed on Vivo S6 5G.
Coming to its pricing, the upcoming smartphone is likely going to be relatively expensive, as compared to Vivo S5 that was earlier launched at Rs. 27,700.
