India vs Sri Lanka match was held on 29th February 2020 at Junction Oval, Melbourne. The Umpires for the match were Shaun George (SA) and Sue Redfern (Eng). Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu won the toss after which she decided to bat first at the Junction Oval in Melbourne. Sri Lanka scored 113/9 in 20 overs while chasing team India won the match in 14.4 overs by scoring 116/3. Right now, India had already qualified for the semi-finals and they are now going to play the second-placed team in Group B on March 5.

The match begins with a toss with Sri Lanka winning the toss and electing to bat first against India on Saturday at Junction Oval in Melbourne. Sri Lanka then somehow managed to get 113 runs with 9 losses of wickets in their 20 overs. Out to 9 wickets, Radha Yadav was the one getting four wickets by herself for team India.
In the run-chase, Shafali Verma, top-scored for India, setting up the chase for India with a rapid knock of 47 runs off 34 balls. Later, India turns out to be the first side to sail through to the big success stages after locking up the wins against hosts as well as defending champions Australia, as along with Bangladesh and New Zealand, in the very first week of the on-going tournament.

India is the first team that have qualified for the semi-finals, after winning total four-match without any single loss. India achieved their fourth victory after winning their final group game, against Sri Lanka, and have finally finished top of Group A.
The semi-final is going to take place at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney on 5th March 2020. Whereas, the final match will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on International Women’s Day i.e., 8th March 2020.
