Black Panther 2 Release Date
By October 2018, Coogler had finished a deal for writing and directing a sequel to Black Panther. Later on 1st November 2018, he further stated that he is feeling pressure in developing the sequel because of the success of Black Panther, he is going to “focus on trying to make something that has some type of meaning” for the film.
Then, on 30th June 2019, producer Kevin Feige had also confirmed that the work on the script had started. Wright, Gurira, as well as Freeman, are going to reappear for their roles in the film. In July 2019, Feige has later confirmed the film is at present under development. As of now, the sequel of the film is scheduled to be released on 6th May 2022.

What the makers of Black Panther said?
With the release of the first part of Black Panther, Feige said “there are many, many stories to tell” regarding the character, as well as he wanted Coogler to come back for any potential sequel. In his statement, Coogler added that he desired to see how T’Challa would grow as a king in the upcoming future films, because right now his supremacy only started recently in the MCU, while in the comics, he has already been a powerful king since childhood.
Later in March 2018, Feige further added there was “nothing specific to reveal” if a sequel of the movie is concerned, but that there “absolutely” were “ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one”.
